Barbara Houseman launches all-female theatre company - Dangerous Space - with five DSL graduates.

Dangerous Spaces   Dangerous Space2

Dangerous Space is an all-female theatre company founded by vocal coach and theatre director Barbara Houseman and theatremaker Nastazja Somers, to address the “lack of multi-dimensional opportunities” for actresses. 36 actresses out of an audition pool of 200 have been selected to take part in the project, called Dangerous Space. Based in London, it will involve regular training and creative workshops, after which, six playwrights will be commissioned to write plays for the company, each with six-strong casts.

We are delighted that five of our graduates have been chosen for this project:

  • Kudzi Chiwawa
  • Esme Sears
  • Julie Cheung-Inhin
  • Mary Roubos
  • Rowena Bentley
